Inhaler Technique Check

Our Inhaler Technique Check service is for any patient who has been prescribed an inhaler. Our pharmacists offer an inhaler technique review including advice and training on how to ‘get the best’ from prescribed inhalers.The inhaler technique check is carried out face to face with the patient in one of our pharmacies. During the check, the following services and advice may be offered:\n\n- Advice on inhaler usage aiming to develop improved adherence\n- Effective use of regular inhalers\n- Effective use of ‘when required’ inhalers\n- Advice on appropriate use of different inhaler types\n- Identification of the need for a change of inhaler type to facilitate effective use\n-Appropriate referral to GP or nurse prescriber\n
