New Medication Service

If you’re prescribed new medication from your GP you can speak to your pharmacist about this to get extra help, this is a free scheme called New Medicine Service (NMS). There are a number of reasons that you might need further information on taking your medicines, including managing side effects. The NMS provides you early support to highlight any problems you may be having with your medicines and identify solutions to these problems. As you are prescribed new medication from your GP there may have been questions you forgot to ask or questions that have arisen after the GP visit. The NMS is the perfect time to get these questions answered. These appointments with your pharmacist are confidential and will be held in a separate consultation areas.
